Dosage & Administration
- Recommended dose: one 200 mg Aceclofenac tablet daily for extended release tablet
- Recommended dose: 100 mg, twice daily for film coated tablet
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions observed
- Close monitoring required when used with: Lithium and Digoxin, Diuretics, Anticoagulants, Methotrexate
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity
- Contraindicated in patients in whom aspirin or NSAIDs precipitate attacks of asthma
Side Effects
- Non-steroidal drug with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties
- Potent inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Avoided in pregnancy and lactation unless benefits outweigh risks
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastro-intestinal bleeding
- Caution in patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment
- Caution in patients with cardiac or renal impairment
- Caution in patients suffering from dizziness or urticaria
