Indications

• Treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections
• Treatment of complicated intra-abdominal infections
• Treatment of community-acquired bacterial pneumonia

Description

• Glycylcycline antibacterial agent for intravenous infusion
• Inhibits protein translation in bacteria
• Binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit
• Blocks entry of amino-acyl tRNA molecules

Pharmacology

• Inhibits protein translation in bacteria
• Carries a glycylamido moiety attached to the 9-position of minocycline
• Not affected by ribosomal protection and efflux

Interaction
