Indications

Pharmacology

Histamine H2-receptor antagonist, inhibits gastric acid secretion

Dosage & Administration

  • Tablet:
    • Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, anastomotic ulcer, reflux esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome:
      • 20mg twice daily
      • 40mg once daily
    • Acute gastritis, chronic gastritis in acute exacerbation stage:
      • 20mg twice daily
      • 40mg once daily for adults
      • Adjusted dosage for age and symptoms
      • Maintenance therapy: 20mg once daily
  • Powder for Suspension:
    • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(GERD):
      • Dose varies by age and weight

Interaction

No clinically important drug interactions, does not interact with cytochrome P450-linked drug-metabolizing enzyme system

Known hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
