Indicated for treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus
Inhibits Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2 (SGLT2)
Dosage should be individualized based on effectiveness and tolerability

Uncommon adverse reactions include volume depletion, urticaria, and increased serum lipids
