Description
Sulbion is a bronchodilator indicated for use in asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other conditions associated with airways obstruction. It works by stimulating beta-2 adrenergic receptors in bronchial smooth muscles, leading to bronchodilatation. The product is available in various forms including tablets, syrup, nebulizer solution, inhalation capsule, and injection. It should be used with caution in patients with certain medical conditions such as hyperthyroidism, cardiovascular disease, and hypertension. Storage conditions require keeping the product below 30°C temperature, away from light and moisture, and out of the reach of children.

Pharmacology
Synthetic sympathomimetic agent with predominant beta-2 adrenergic activity
Dosage and administration
- Dosage varies based on age and form of the product (tablet, syrup, respirator solution, nebulizer solution, injection, inhalation capsule)
- Maximum single dose of tablet is 8 mg
- Nebulizer solution for adults and elderly is 2.5 mg to 5 mg up to 4 times a day
- Injection should not be injected undiluted

Pregnancy and lactation
- Use during pregnancy should be justified by potential benefit
- Not known whether drug is excreted in human milk
- Potential tumorigenicity shown in animal studies
Precautions and warnings
- Use with caution in patients with hyperthyroidism, cardiovascular disease, occlusive vascular disorders, hypertension, and aneurysms
- High doses may result in hypokalaemia and increased susceptibility to digitalis-induced cardiac arrhythmia
- Tachyphylaxis with resistance may occur with prolonged use of high dosage
