Description
Algicid Plus 250 mg Chewable Tablet is a combination of two antacids (Calcium carbonate and Sodium bicarbonate) and an alginate (Sodium alginate) used for treating gastric reflux, heartburn, indigestion, and related symptoms. It works by neutralizing excess stomach acid and forming a protective barrier over the stomach contents to soothe chest pain. The product has a physical mode of action and does not depend on absorption into the systemic circulation. It is contraindicated in patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or excipients and may cause side effects like constipation, flatulence, stomach cramps, or belching.
