Indications
- Treatment of HR-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer
- Treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women
- Combination therapy for advanced or metastatic breast cancer
- Treatment of breast cancer in women with disease progression following endocrine therapy
Pharmacology
- Estrogen receptor antagonist
- Downregulates ER protein in breast cancer cells
- Inhibitor of tamoxifen-resistant breast cancer cells
- Inhibits the growth of established breast cancer tumors
- No agonist-type effects in uterotrophic assays
Dosage & Administration
Administered intramuscularly as 500 mg doses into buttocks, 250 mg for moderate hepatic impairment, monthly injections
