Composition
- Each 1 liter solution contains Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, Magnessium Chloride, Glacial Acetic Acid, Highly purified water
Pharmacology
- Calcium chloride used to prevent or treat negative calcium balance; regulates action potential excitation threshold
- Potassium chloride plays active role in nerve impulses, muscle contraction, renal function, acid-base balance
- Sodium chloride important in electrolyte and fluid balance, osmotic pressure control, water distribution; used for hydration, metabolic acidosis, haemodialysis
- Magnessium Chloride acts as cofactor in enzymatic reactions, depresses CNS, blocks neuromuscular transmission, produces anticonvulsant effects

- Recommended dose: 5 liters concentrate per dialysis or as required
