Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1-2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours up to a maximum of 4 gm daily
- Children (6-12 years) dosage: ½ to 1 tablet 3 to 4 times daily
- Extended Release Tablet dosage for adults & children over 12 years
- Syrup/Suspension dosage for different age groups

Interaction
- Diminished metabolization with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants and alcohol
- Increased hepatotoxicity with alcohol
- Induction of liver enzymes by anticonvulsants or oral steroid contraceptives

- Greater hazard of overdose in non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease
- Advice against concurrent use of other Sinapol-containing products
- Use only when clearly necessary
Overdose Effects
- Possible liver damage in adults with 10 g or more intake
- Potential liver damage with 5 g or more intake considering risk factors
- Symptoms of overdose in the first 24 hours
- Abnormalities of glucose metabolism
- Metabolic acidosis
- Hepatic failure leading to encephalopathy, haemorrhage, hypoglycaemia, and death
- Acute renal failure with acute tubular necrosis
- Immediate treatment essential
- Consideration of activated charcoal if overdose within 1 hour
- Measurement of plasma Paracetamol concentration
- Use of N-acetylcysteine up to 24 hours post-ingestion
