Indications

• Fast & effective relief of Chest congestion
• Cough
• Sore throat

Pharmacology

• Expectorant
• Cough suppressant
• Local anesthetic
• Counterirritant

Dosage & Administration

• For adults only (12 years and over)
• 2 teaspoonful syrup (10 ml) every 6 hours
• Maximum 8 teaspoonful syrup (40 ml)/day

Interaction

• Possible reactions with specific drugs like acetaminophen/hydrocodone, diphenhydramine, etc.

Contraindications

• Not to be taken with MAOI inhibitors
• Advice to consult a doctor or pharmacist if unsure about MAOI content in prescription

Side Effects

• Common side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, gastrointestinal disturbance, feeling nervous, restless, anxious, or irritable
