Indications
- Treatment of increased tone of skeletal muscles due to organic neurological disorders
- Treatment of muscular spasm, muscular contracture, rigidity, spinal automatism
- Treatment of vascular diseases such as obliterative arteriosclerosis, diabetic angiopathy, obliterative thromboangitis
Pharmacology
Centrally acting muscle relaxant
Dosage & Administration
- Adult dose: 50-150 mg three times daily
- Children (3 months to 6 years): 5 mg/kg/day in three divided doses
- Children (6 to 14 years): 2-4 mg/kg/day in three divided doses
Interaction
Concomitant use of methocarbamol with Tolride may cause disturbance of visual accommodation
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- Myasthenia gravis
- Nursing mothers
Side Effects
- Muscular weakness
- Headache
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Hypersensitivity reactions (itching, redness of the skin, skin rash)
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use in pregnancy according to physician's advice
- Avoid during breastfeeding
Precautions & Warnings
Closely observe prescribed dose and duration of treatment in children
