DosageAdministration

  • One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water
  • Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink orally
  • Better absorption on full stomach

Interaction

  • Thiazide diuretics impact on urinary excretion of Calcium
  • Reduced calcium absorption with systemic corticosteroids
  • Interference with the absorption of concomitantly administered tetracycline preparations
  • Elevated risk of hypercalcaemia with simultaneous use of ion exchange resins and laxatives
  • Possible increase in toxicity of cardiac glycosides during hypercalcaemia
  • Need for time gap between calcium intake and concomitant bisphosphonate or sodium fluoride use
  • Inhibition of calcium absorption by oxalic acid and phytic acid in specific foods

Contraindications

  • Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
  • Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
  • Hypersensitivity to the component of this preparation
  • Severe renal insufficiencies
  • Concomitant digoxin therapy
