  • Also used as a supplement in case of inadequate intake of Calcium in childhood diet, rickets, pregnancy & lactation, elderly patients, pancreatitis, phosphate binder in chronic renal failure
  • Each tablet contains Calcium Carbonate USP 1250 mg (Coral source) equivalent to 500 mg of elemental Calcium & Vitamin D USP 200 IU
  • Each DX tablet contains Calcium Carbonate USP 1500 mg (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium & Vitamin D USP 400 IU
  • Each effervescent tablet contains Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) USP 1500 mg equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium and Vitamin D3 400 IU as Cholecalciferol USP
  • Adequate Calcium in the blood is vital to a wide variety of bodily functions
  • Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones as it aids in Calcium absorption from the GI tract
  • Stimulates bone formation
  • Clinical studies show that Calcium and vitamin D has synergistic effects on bone growth
  • Calcium Carbonate sourced from coral origin ensures better absorption

  • One tablet recommended once or twice daily with plenty of water or as directed by the physician
  • Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water to drink orally
  • Thiazide diuretics reduce the urinary excretion of calcium
  • Systemic corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption
  • Simultaneous treatment with ion exchange resins such as cholestyramine or laxatives may reduce the gastrointestinal absorption of vitamin D
  • Calcium carbonate may interfere with the absorption of concomitantly administered tetracycline preparations
  • Hypercalcaemia may increase the toxicity of cardiac glycosides during treatment with calcium and vitamin D
  • Contraindicated in Hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, hypercalciuria, nephrolithiasis, hypersensitivity to the components, severe renal insufficiencies, concomitant digoxin therapy
  • Orally administered Calcium Carbonate may be irritating to the GI tract
  • May cause constipation, allergic reactions, irregular heartbeats, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite dry mouth and drowsiness
  • During pregnancy the daily intake should not exceed 1500 mg calcium and 600 IU cholecalciferol (15 mcg vitamin D)
  • Overdose can lead to hypervitaminosis D and hypercalcaemia
  • Specific mineral & vitamin combined preparations
  • Store at temperature of below 30°C, protect from light & moisture
