Description
- Combination of Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3
- Calcium obtained from European eggshell source
- Contains essential salts and minerals for bone development

Pharmacology
- Calcium necessary for normal functioning of bone, nerve cells, and muscles

Dosage & Administration
- Oral administration
- One tablet in the morning and one tablet at night
Interaction
- Potential interactions with digoxin, antacids, other Calcium supplements, calcitriol, tetracycline, doxycycline, aminocycline, oxytetracycline
- Reduction of Calcium uptake by concomitant ingestion of certain foods
Contraindications
- Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
- Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
- Hypersensitivity to the component of this preparation
- Severe renal insufficiencies
- Concomitant digoxin therapy
Side Effects
- Orally administered Calcium Carbonate may cause irritation to the GI tract and constipation
- Rare side effects may include kidney stone, hypercalcemia, alkalosis, and loss of appetite
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Safe use as directed by the physician
Precautions & Warnings
- Discontinuation required in case of hypercalcemia
- Patients with a history of kidney stone formation should increase fluid intake
Overdose Effects
- Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, diarrhea, weakness, headache, irritability, dizziness
