Indications
- Peptic ulcer diseases
- Gastroesophageal reflux diseases
- Ulcer induced by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
- Eradication of Helicobacter pylori (in combination with antibiotics)
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
Pharmacology
- Proton pump inhibitor
- Suppresses gastric acid production
- Binds to H+/K+ATPase enzyme system
- Inhibits basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion
Dosage & Administration
- Benign gastric ulcer: 40 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks
- GERD: 20-40 mg daily in the morning for 4 weeks
- Duodenal ulcer: 40 mg daily in the morning for 2 weeks
- Duodenal ulcer with H. pylori: 40 mg twice daily with antibiotics for one week
- Prophylaxis of NSAID-associated ulcer: 20 mg daily
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Initial 80 mg once daily adjusted according to response

Reconstitution
- IV injection: reconstitute with 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection for intravenous administration; must be given as a slow intravenous injection
- IV infusion: reconstitute with 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection and further dilute with appropriate solution for intravenous infusion
