Indications
- Treatment of superficial infections
- Treatment of burns

Pharmacology
- Active topical corticosteroid
- Rapid response in inflammatory dermatoses
- Cures psoriasis
- Topical broad-spectrum bactericidal
- Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens
- Effective in hairy and intertriginous places
- Effective for the treatment of wet ulceration
Dosage & Administration
- Applied as a thin layer for 3 to 4 times daily
- Withdrawal of treatment by decreasing frequency of application
- Application as infrequently as once a week
- Do not use on children under 1 year of age
- Course of treatment for a child should not normally last more than 5 days
Interaction
- No significant drug interactions reported
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any components
- Not to be used for otitis externa with perforated eardrum
- Not to be used for skin lesions caused by viruses and fungi
Side Effects
- May cause Cushing's syndrome
- May cause acne
- May cause thinning and dilatation of blood vessels
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Should not be used extensively in pregnancy
Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid long term continuous topical therapy
- Use accurate dose in infected areas only
