Indications
- Short-term treatment of moderate to severe melasma of the face
- Preventing sun exposure after starting the treatment
- Use of sunscreen with SPF 30 or more
Pharmacology
- Active ingredients: Fluocinolone Acetonide, Hydroquinone, Tretinoin
- Mechanism of action for treating melasma
- Fluocinolone Acetonide: corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties
- Hydroquinone: depigmenting agent interrupting melanin synthesis
- Tretinoin: keratolytic agent
Dosage & Administration
- Once daily application at night
- Apply 30 minutes before bedtime
- Gently wash face and neck with mild cleanser
- Apply thin film to hyperpigmented areas of melasma
- Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing during the day
- Pediatric use safety not established
Interaction
- Avoid medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers
- Avoid cosmetics with drying effects and high alcohol concentration
- Avoid concomitant use of medications with photosensitizing effects
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity or allergy to the product or its components
Side Effects
- Possible severe allergic reactions
- Skin reactions: redness, peeling, burning, dryness, itching

- Potential teratogenic effects of tretinoin
- Caution during pregnancy and lactation
Precautions & Warnings
- May cause mild to moderate irritation
- Local irritation including reddening, peeling, burning, dryness, pruritus
- Potential for reversible HPA axis suppression with systemic absorption of corticosteroid
