Indications
- Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
- Relief of symptoms associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria
Pharmacology
- H1 histamine receptor mediator
- Fexofenadine as an 'inverse agonist' of the H1 receptor
- Potent and selective affinity for H1 receptors
Dosage & Administration
- 60 mg twice daily for adults and children 12 years and older
- 30 mg twice daily for children from 6 to 11 years
- 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily for children from 2 to 11 years
- 180 mg once daily for allergic rhinitis in adults
- 120 mg once daily for chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults
- Suspension: 15 mg or 2.5 ml twice daily for children from 6 months to less than 2 years
- Suspension: 30 mg or 5 ml twice daily for children from 2 to 11 years
Interaction
- Coadministration with erythromycin or ketoconazole
- No interaction with omeprazole
- Reduction in bioavailability when coadministered with antacids

- Known hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or its ingredients
