Dosage
- 75-150mg daily for adults in 2 to 3 divided doses
- 1 tablet daily for adults in sustained release form
- 2-3 tablets daily for adults in dispersible form
- 50mg suppository 2-3 times daily for adults
- 1 ampoule daily for adults in injection form
- External application of 2-4g gel 3-4 times daily

Absorption

Interaction
- May interact with lithium, digoxin, anticoagulants, antidiabetic agents, cyclosporin, methotrexate, quinolone antimicrobials, other NSAIDs, and steroids
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
- Peptic ulcer
- Asthmatic patients with hypersensitivity to diclofenac and prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors
- Not for use under occlusive airtight dressings
Side Effects
- Epigastric pain, eructation, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache
- Peripheral edema
- Skin reactions like rash and eczema
- Local irritation, reddening of the skin, skin rash
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use only for compelling reasons during pregnancy
- Lowest effective dose should be used
- Not recommended during the first trimester
- Not recommended during breastfeeding
Precautions & Warnings
- Close observation for peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Caution to prevent contact with eyes or mucus membranes
- Avoid ingestion
