Indications

Pharmacology
- Synthetic broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
- Inhibits bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase enzymes
Dosage & Administration
- 0.5% eye drop for adults and children 1 year and older
- 1.5% eye drop for adults and children 6 years and older
- Specific dosage guidance for different age groups
Interaction
- Potential interaction with theophylline
- Potential interaction with caffeine metabolism
- Potential interaction with warfarin and its derivatives
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones
- Hypersensitivity to any components of the medication
