Indications
- Treatment of bronchospasm in adults
- Prevention of bronchospasm in adolescents
- Prevention of bronchospasm in children 6 years and older
Pharmacology
- Levosalbutamol as a single isomer beta 2-agonist
- Primary mechanism of action as bronchodilator
- Substantially lessens beta-mediated side effects compared to racemic salbutamol
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet dosage for adults and adolescents above 12 years
- Tablet dosage for children 6-11 years
- Syrup dosage for adults
- Syrup dosage for children 6-11 years
Interaction
- Caution with other short-acting sympathomimetic bronchodilators
- Caution with epinephrine
- Precaution with additional adrenergic drugs to avoid cardiovascular effects
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levosalbutamol or its components

- Caution with concomitant treatment with xanthine derivatives
