Description

Dosage Instructions
- Adults, Pediatric patients (6 months to 18 years)

Dosage Adjustment
- For Patients With Impaired Renal Function
- For Patients With Impaired Hepatic Function
- 4 years of age or younger

Pharmacological Action
- Selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor type
Administration Instructions
- Tear the pouch carefully along with the edge tear mark
- Put the film on top of your tongue
- Swallow after the film dissolves
- Wash your hands after taking the film
Interactions
- Metabolized by hepatic cytochrome P-450 drug-metabolizing enzymes
- Inducers or inhibitors of these enzymes may change the clearance and half-life
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components
- Concomitant use of apomorphine

- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Rash
- Sensation of flushing or warmth
- Hiccups
- Liver enzyme abnormalities
- Anaphylaxis
- Bronchospasm
- Tachycardia
- Angina (chest pain)
- Hypokalemia
- Shortness of breath
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus in animal studies
- Excreted in the breast milk of rats
- Caution should be exercised when administered to a nursing women
Precautions & Warnings
- Hypersensitivity reactions reported in patients hypersensitive to other selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonists
- Not to be used in place of nasogastric suction
- May mask a progressive ileus and/or gastric distension
Special Populations
- Dosage adjustment for patients with impaired renal function
- Dosage adjustment for patients with impaired hepatic function
- Little information available about dosage in pediatric patients 4 years of age or younger
- No dosage adjustment needed in patients over the age of 65
