Indications
- Treatment of bronchospasm

Pharmacology
- Levosalbutamol as a single isomer beta 2-agonist
- Mechanism of action unimpeded by (S)-salbutamol
- Clinically comparable bronchodilation at lower doses
Dosage & Administration
- Tablet dosage for adults and adolescents above 12 years
- Tablet dosage for children (6 - 11 years)

Interaction
- Caution with other short acting sympathomimetic bronchodilators
- Caution with epinephrine
- Use with caution with additional adrenergic drugs
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levosalbutamol or its components

- Hypocalcaemia
- Palpitation
- Fine tremors of skeletal muscle
- Muscle cramps
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Burning substernal or epigastric pain
- Diarrhoea
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Use during pregnancy if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus
- Unknown excretion of Levosalbutamol in human milk
- Caution when administered to nursing woman
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in acute severe asthma
- Caution in concomitant treatment with xanthine derivatives, steroids, and diuretics
- Monitor serum potassium levels
Overdose Effects
- Excessive beta-adrenergic stimulation
- Symptoms listed under side effects
- Stomach should be emptied in case of serious poisoning
- Caution with beta-blocker in patients with history of bronchospasm
