Indications
- Treats locally recurrent or metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer
- Used in combination for advanced renal cell carcinoma
- First-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma
- Treatment for advanced endometrial carcinoma
Pharmacology
- Inhibits VEGF receptors and other kinases implicated in tumor growth
- Time to peak plasma concentration is 1 to 4 hours post-dose
- Excretion primarily occurs through feces and urine
- Terminal elimination half-life is approximately 28 hours
Dosage
- Recommended dosages for different types of cancer based on weight and combination with other drugs
- To be taken orally once daily, with or without food
Administration
- Capsules can be swallowed whole or dissolved in liquid
- Instructions for dissolving the capsules in water or apple juice
Interaction
- Warning about coadministration with drugs that prolong the QT interval
Contraindications
- Not to be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Lenvatinib or its components
