- 600 mg elemental Calcium per film-coated tablet
- 200 IU Vitamin D3 per film-coated tablet

Pharmacology
- Calcium, Magnesium & Vitamin D3 are macronutrients for bone health
- Vitamin D3 crucial for Calcium absorption
- Magnesium increases bone strength
- Micronutrients like Copper, Manganese, Zinc & Boron important for bone health
- Deficiency of micronutrients noticed in patients with osteoporosis
Dosage & Administration
- Adult: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily with water and meals
- Children 3-7 years: 1 effervescent tablet daily
- Children 7 years and older: 1-2 effervescent tablets daily
Interaction
- Risk of hypercalcemia with thiazide diuretics
- Hypocalcemia risk in digitalized patients
- Certain foods reduce calcium absorption
- Concomitant use of phenytoin or barbiturates can decrease Vitamin D3 effect
- Concomitant use of glucocorticoids decreases Vitamin D3 effect
- Calcium salts may reduce absorption of certain medications
Contraindications
- Absolute contraindications for hypercalcemia, primary hyperparathyroidism, Vitamin D3 overdose, severe renal failure
- Relative contraindications for osteoporosis due to prolonged immobilization, renal stones, severe hypercalciuria
Side Effects
- Mild gastro-intestinal disturbances
- Constipation, flatulence, nausea, gastric pain, diarrhea with calcium supplements
- Occasional skin rash with vitamin D3 supplements
- Hypercalciuria and rare cases of hypercalcemia with long term high dose treatment
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Supplementation should be under physician's direction
- Increased calcium and Vitamin D3 requirements during pregnancy and lactation
- Overdose of Vitamin D3 has teratogenic effects in pregnant animals
- Vitamin D3 and metabolites pass into breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Careful supervision for mild to moderate renal failure or hypercalciuria
- Periodic checks of plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion needed
- Monitoring of serum and urinary calcium levels and kidney function recommended with long term treatment
Overdose Effects
- Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, headache, constipation
