Indications
- Prevention and reversal of bronchospasm in patients 12 years and older with asthma
- Reversible bronchospasm associated with bronchitis and emphysema
Pharmacology
- Selective β2-adrenergic bronchodilator
- Effect on beta-receptors of bronchial, vascular, and uterine smooth muscles
- Stimulation through beta-adrenergic receptors of intracellular adenyl cyclase
Dosage
- Tablet or syrup in bronchospasm:
- Duration of action of 7 to 8 hours
- Minimum recommended dosage interval of 7 hours
- Instructions for Adults/Elderly:
- Starting dose of 2.5 mg (1 tablet) 3 times in a 24-hour period
- Dose may be increased to achieve adequate bronchodilation
- Instructions for Children:
- Starting dose based on age and weight
- Dose adjustments based on individual response

Overdose Effects
- Possible symptoms:
- Headache, anxiety, tremor, palpitations, arrhythmia
- Treatment:
- Mild and moderate cases - reducing the dose
- Severe cases - gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal
