Indications
- Topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis
- Treatment of tinea cruris
- Treatment of tinea corporis
- Caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Epidermophyton floccosum
Pharmacology
- Luliconazole as a broad-spectrum antifungal agent
- Belongs to the azole group
- Inhibits lanosterol demethylase enzyme
- Blocks ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membrane
Dosage & Administration
- Adult & Geriatric dosing for interdigital tinea pedis
- Adult & Geriatric dosing for tinea cruris and tinea corporis
- Pediatric dosing not established
Contraindications
- History of hypersensitivity to Luliconazole
Side Effects
- Contact dermatitis
- Cellulitis
- Application site reactions
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women
- Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus
- Unknown excretion in human milk
- Caution when used by breastfeeding women
