Indications

Description
- Dry powder inhaler
- Oral inhalation only
- Combination of Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate BP and Budesonide BP
- Glucocorticosteroid with dose-dependent anti-inflammatory action
- Selective β2 adrenoceptor agonist for relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle
Pharmacology
- Budesonide exhibits potent glucocorticoid activity and weak mineralocorticoid activity
- Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate is a long-acting, selective β2 - adrenergic agonist

Administration

Interaction
- Co-administration with strong cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors should be avoided
- Co-administration with Monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants should be with extreme caution
- Caution with beta-blockers
Contraindications
- Primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute episodes of asthma or COPD
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Pregnancy & Lactation
- No clinical data on exposed pregnancies are available
- Formoterol excretion in breast milk
Precautions & Warnings
- Caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, thyrotoxicosis, untreated hypokalaemia, severe hypertension and severe cardiovascular disorders
Use in Special Populations
- Regular monitoring of children's height during prolonged treatment with inhaled corticosteroids
