Indications
- Relieves irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye
- Relieves irritation and discomfort due to exposure to wind or sun
Composition
- Active Substance: Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg
- Preservative: Purite 0.0075%
Pharmacology
- Alleviates symptoms in moderate to severe dry eye syndromes
- Provides long-lasting protection against dryness and irritation
- Lubricating formulation similar to normal tears
- Non-sensitizing preservative
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day or as needed
Interaction
- Interval of at least 5 minutes required between each application of different eye medications
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
Side Effects
- Burning
- Eye irritation or pruritus
- Visual disturbance
- Ocular discharge
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Safe use not established during pregnancy and lactation
- Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
Precautions & Warnings
- Administer concomitant ocular medication 15 minutes before using this eye drop
- Remove contact lenses before application
- Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy
- Avoid tip contamination and replace cap after each use
Use in Special Populations
- Pediatric use: Not for infants and small children under 3 years
- No observed overall differences in safety or effectiveness for geriatric use
Storage Conditions
- Use within 30 days after first opening
- Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C
- Store in a dry place and protect from light
- Close bottle tightly after use
- Keep away from the reach of children
