Pharmacology
Fexofenadine is an inverse agonist of the H1 histamine receptor, stabilizing the inactive form and preventing its activation. It has selective affinity for H1 receptors and does not have significant CNS effects.

Pregnancy lactation
- Pregnancy: Should not be used unless clearly necessary

Precautions warnings
- Elderly and impairments: Limited data in older people and renally or hepatically impaired patients. Careful administration in these special groups.
- Cardiovascular disease: Patients with a history of or ongoing cardiovascular disease should be warned about possible adverse reactions like tachycardia and palpitations.
Special populations
- Renal and hepatic impaired: Altered pharmacokinetics, dose adjustment recommended for renal impairment, minimal effect in hepatic disease.
- Elderly patient: Altered pharmacokinetics in individuals over 65 years of age.
