Indications
- Treatment of hypertension

Pharmacology
- Fixed dose combination of Telmisartan and Amiodipine
- Angiotensin receptor blocking effects
- Vasoconstriction inhibition

Dosage & Administration
- Usual starting dose of 40/5 mg once daily
- Higher starting dose of 80/5 mg once daily for larger blood pressure reductions
- Not recommended for patients 575 years old or with hepatic impairment
- Add-on therapy for inadequate control
- Replacement therapy for separate tablet component doses
- Individualized dosage
- Maximum recommended dose of 80/10 mg once daily
Interaction
- No clinically significant interaction with specified drugs
- No metabolism by cytochrome P450 system
- Inhibition of CYP2C19

Precautions & Warnings
- Avoid fetal or neonatal exposure

- Observation for signs and symptoms of hypotension
- Titration in patients with hepatic or severe renal impairment
- Monitoring for worsening heart failure
- Avoid concomitant use of ACE inhibitor and angiotensin receptor blocker
- Risk of myocardial infarction
Use in Special Populations
- Safety and effectiveness not established in pediatric patients
- Not recommended for patients 75 years old
- Not recommended for hepatically impaired patients
