Indications
- Control of acute asthma
- Management of chronic asthma (Symptomatic and prophylactic treatment)
- Controlling nocturnal asthma and early morning wheezing
- Management of chronic obstructive lung disease (Chronic bronchitis and emphysema)
- Acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive lung disease
- Control of apnea of pre-maturity
Pharmacology
Bronchodilator, Methylxanthine, Smooth muscle relaxation, Diaphragmatic muscle contraction
Dosage & Administration
- Individualized dose based on peak serum theophylline concentration
- Sustained release preparations administered every 12 hours in adults
- Different recommended maintenance doses based on age
Interaction
Not to be used concurrently with xanthine derivatives, clearance affected by various drugs, potentiate hypokalemia
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Theophylline or any other component of the product

Pregnancy & Lactation
