Pharmacology

• Telmisartan mechanism of action
• Angiotensin II blocking

Dosage & Administration

• Initial dose of Telmisartan monotherapy 80 mg
• Initial dose of Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg
• Combination dose of Telmisartan 80 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg
• Titration up to Telmisartan 160 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg

Interaction

• Caution with aliskiren

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Telmisartan
