Composition
- 1250 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) equivalent to 500 mg elemental Calcium & 200 IU Vitamin D per tablet
- 1500 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium & 400 IU Vitamin D per DX tablet
- 1500 mg Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg elemental Calcium & 400 IU Vitamin D3 as Cholecalciferol per effervescent tablet

Dosage & Administration
- One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water
- Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water
- Taking with full stomach ensures better absorption
Interaction
- Thiazide diuretics and systemic corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption
- Monitoring with concomitant use of thiazide diuretics and adjustment of dose may be needed
- Simultaneous treatment with ion exchange resins and laxatives may reduce vitamin D absorption
- Interference with absorption of tetracycline preparations
- Monitoring with hypercalcaemia risk with cardiac glycosides, bisphosphonate, and sodium fluoride use
- Avoiding calcium products within two hours of consuming oxalic acid and phytic acid rich foods

- Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
- Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
- Hypersensitivity to the component

Precautions & Warnings
- Monitoring serum calcium levels and renal function during long-term treatment
- Special monitoring in elderly patients on concomitant treatment with cardiac glycosides or diuretics
- Caution in patients with impaired renal function and high tendency to calculus formation
- Avoiding vitamin D in the form of cholecalciferol in severe renal insufficiency

Overdose Effects
- Hypervitaminosis D and hypercalcaemia
- Symptoms include anorexia, thirst, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, mental disturbances, polydipsia, polyuria, bone pain, nephrocalcinosis, nephrolithiasis, cardiac arrhythmias
- Irreversible renal damage and soft tissue calcification with persistently high calcium levels
- Treatment involving discontinuation of calcium and other respective medications, stomach emptying, rehydration, and monitoring of serum electrolytes, renal function, diuresis, ECG, and CVP
