Description
Xorel MUPS 20 mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor used for the treatment of duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, GERD, Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, and Helicobacter pylori eradication.
Dosage
20mg to be taken once daily in the morning for active duodenal ulcer and active benign gastric ulcer. 20mg to be taken once daily for four to eight weeks for erosive or ulcerative gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD). 20mg or 10mg once daily for long-term management of GERD. 10mg once daily for symptomatic treatment of moderate to very severe GERD. For pediatric patients, 5mg to 10mg once daily for 12 weeks, depending on weight.
Administration
Tablets should be taken in the morning, before eating, and swallowed whole without chewing or crushing.
Interaction
Potential interaction with ketoconazole or itraconazole, and atazanavir. No interaction with liquid antacids observed.
