Indications

  • Relieves irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye
  • Relieves irritation due to exposure to wind or sun

Composition

  • Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg/mL
  • Purite 0.0075%

Pharmacology

  • Ocular lubricant for moderate to severe dry eye syndromes
  • Provides long-lasting protection against dryness and irritation
  • Lubricating formulation similar to normal tears
  • Mild & non-sensitising preservative

Dosage & Administration

  • Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day
  • Can be used as needed

Interaction

  • Interval of at least 5 minutes required between each application if several medicines are to be administered to the eye

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient

Side Effects

  • Burning
  • Eye Irritation or Pruritus
  • Visual disturbance
  • Ocular discharge

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Safe use during pregnancy and lactation has not been established
  • Consult doctor before use if pregnant or breast-feeding

Precautions & Warnings

  • Administer concomitant ocular medication 15 minutes prior to instillation
  • Remove contact lenses before use
  • Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy
  • Avoid touching container tip to surfaces to prevent contamination
  • Replace cap after each use

Use in Special Populations

  • Not recommended for infants and small children under 3 years
  • No observed differences in safety or effectiveness in elderly versus other adult patients

Storage Conditions

  • Use within 30 days after the first opening
  • Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C
  • Store in a dry place, protect from light
  • Close bottle tightly after use
  • Keep away from the reach of children
