Indications

• Treatment of itching

Pharmacology

• Antiparasitic
• Toxic to scabies mite
• Relieves itching
• Produces counter-irritation
• Evaporates from the skin
• Produces cooling effect

Dosage & Administration

• Apply 2-3 times daily
• Provides relief for 6-10 hours
• Can be used in children
• No special dosage recommendations for the elderly
• Rub into entire body surface
• Repeat once daily for 3-5 days
• Special attention to susceptible sites
• Application regimen for children under 3 years of age

Contraindications

• Acute exudative dermatoses
• Known hypersensitivity to crotamiton
• Contra-indicated in or around the eyes
