• Composition:
  • Each tablet contains: Calcium Carbonate USP 1250 mg (Coral source) equivalent to 500 mg of elemental Calcium & Vitamin D USP 200 IU
  • Each DX tablet contains: Calcium Carbonate USP 1500 mg (Coral source) equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium & Vitamin D USP 400 IU
  • Each effervescent tablet contains: Calcium Carbonate (Coral source) USP 1500 mg equivalent to 600 mg of elemental Calcium and Vitamin D3 400 IU as Cholecalciferol USP
• Pharmacology: Adequate Calcium in the blood is vital for various bodily functions. Clinical studies show that Calcium and Vitamin D have synergistic effects on bone growth and in Osteoporosis and fracture prevention. Coral Calcium is similar to human bone composition and ensures better absorption.
• Dosage & Administration: One tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water. Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water to drink orally.
• Interaction: Thiazide diuretics reduce urinary excretion of calcium. Systemic corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption. Other interactions include ion exchange resins, laxatives, tetracycline, bisphosphonate, sodium fluoride, oxalic acid, and phytic acid.
• Contraindications:
  • Hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism
  • Hypercalciuria and nephrolithiasis
  • Hypersensitivity to the component
  • Severe renal insufficiencies
  • Concomitant digoxin therapy

Caution is advised for immobilized patients with osteoporosis and those with impairment of renal function.
• Overdose Effects: Symptoms include hypervitaminosis D and hypercalcemia leading to various complications. Treatment involves discontinuation of calcium and other relevant medications, rehydration, and possible use of diuretics, bisphosphonates, calcitonin, and corticosteroids.
• Storage Conditions: Store below 30°C, protect from light and moisture, and keep out of reach of children.
