Indications
- Relieves irritation and discomfort
- Due to dryness of the eye
- Due to exposure to wind or sun
Composition
- Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg per ml
- Preservative: Purite 0.0075%
Pharmacology
- Alleviates symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye syndromes
- Long lasting protection against dryness and irritation
- Lubricating formulation similar to normal tears
- Mild & non-sensitising preservative
Dosage & Administration
- Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day
- Or as needed
Interaction
- Interval of at least 5 minutes between each application of several medicines
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
Side Effects
- Burning
- Eye Irritation or Pruritus
- Visual disturbance
- Ocular discharge
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Safe use during pregnancy and lactation not established
- Ask doctor before use if pregnant or breast-feeding
Precautions & Warnings
- Concomitant ocular medication 15 minutes prior to instillation
- Remove contact lenses before use
- Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy
- Do not touch tip of container to any surface
- Replace cap after each use
Use in Special Populations
- Pediatric use: not for infants and small children under 3 years
- Geriatric use: no overall differences in safety or effectiveness
Storage Conditions
- Use within 30 days after opening
- Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C
- Store in a dry place
- Protect from light
- Keep away from the reach of children
