Indications

Pharmacodynamics
Miconazole possesses antifungal activity against common dermatophythes and yeasts, as well as antibacterial activity against certain gram-positive bacilli and cocci.
Pharmacokinetics
Low oral bioavailability, primarily bound to plasma proteins, largely metabolized, and excreted in urine.
Dosage
- Infants 4-24 months: 1.25 ml applied 4 times a day
- Adults and children 2 years and older: 2.5 ml applied 4 times a day
- Missed Dose instructions
- Sufficient Miconazole Cream application for affected areas
Administration
To be applied 2-4 times a day directly to the affected area, kept in contact with the affected area, continued for at least a week after symptoms disappear.
Interaction
- Concomitant use with Terfenadine, Astemizole, and Cisapride should be avoided
- May delay Phenytoin and Cyclosporine metabolism

- Monitoring anti-coagulant effect if used concomitantly

Overdose Effects
Accidental overdosage may cause vomiting and diarrhea, treatment is symptomatic and supportive.

Keep in a dry place away from light and heat, keep out of the reach of children
