Indications

• Monotherapy for newly diagnosed epilepsy in adults and children aged 6 years and above
• Adjunctive therapy for inadequately controlled seizures
• Prophylaxis of migraine headache in adults
• Situation-specific prophylactic treatment of frequent migraine attacks
• Review of continuing therapy every six months

Contraindications

• Metabolic acidosis, alopecia, leucopenia, and thrombocytopenia

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Inadvisable use during pregnancy
• Not recommended for use during breastfeeding

• Gradual withdrawal to minimize potential for seizures
• Central nervous system-related adverse events

• Reports of visual disturbances/blurred vision

Overdose Effects
