Aquafresh Liquigel PF 1% (Ophthalmic Solution)

Indications

• Relieves irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye
• Relieves irritation and discomfort due to exposure to wind or sun

Composition

• Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium USP 10 mg per ml
• Purite 0.0075% as preservative

Pharmacology

• Alleviates symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye syndromes
• Provides long-lasting protection against dryness and irritation
• Acts as a lubricating formulation similar to normal tears
• Utilizes mild & non-sensitizing preservative
• Enhances viscosity and increases retention time of the eye drop

Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 4 times a day or as needed

Interaction

Interval of at least 5 minutes between each application if several medicines are to be administered to the eye

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the product

Side Effects

• Burning
• Eye Irritation or Pruritus
• Visual disturbance
• Ocular discharge

Pregnancy & Lactation

Safe use during pregnancy and lactation has not been established

Precautions & Warnings

• Concomitant ocular medication should be administered 15 minutes prior to instillation
• Remove contact lenses before use
• Do not use if solution changes color or becomes cloudy
• Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface
• Replace cap after each use

Use in Special Populations

• Pediatric use: Not recommended for infants and small children under 3 years
• No observed overall differences in safety or effectiveness between elderly and other adult patients

Storage Conditions

• Use within 30 days after first opening
• Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place
• Protect from light
• Close the bottle tightly immediately after use
• Keep away from the reach of children
