Indications

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) treatment
• Second bronchodilator requirement
• Bronchospasm management

Pharmacology

• Combination of Salbutamol (as Sulphate) and Ipratropium Bromide
• Short-acting beta2-adrenergic bronchodilator
• Anticholinergic bronchodilator
• Environment-friendly inhaler
• Reduction of bronchospasm
• Maximization of treatment response

Dosage

• Adult dose: 2 puffs 4 times a day
• Maximum of 12 puffs in 24 hours
• Direction from physician

Administration

• Effective inhaler use
• Proper shaking before use
• Breathing out before inhalation
• Correct mouthpiece placement
• Holding breath after inhalation
• Wait time between puffs
• Regular cleaning instructions

Interaction

• Co-administration with sympathomimetic bronchodilators, methylxanthines, and steroids
• Cautious co-administration with other anticholinergic agents and sympathomimetic agents
• Extreme caution with non-potassium sparing diuretics, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, or tricyclic antidepressants

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Soya-Lecithin or related food products
• Hypersensitivity to any other components of the drug product
• Hypersensitivity to atropine or its derivatives

Use in Special Populations

• Caution in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, or bladder-neck obstruction
• Caution in patients with convulsive disorders, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, and unusually responsive to sympathomimetic amines

Overdose Effects

• Anginal pain
• Hypertension
• Hypokalemia
• Tachycardia
