Indications
- Prophylaxis and symptomatic treatment of certain allergic ocular disorders
- Provides relief from itching, tearing, redness, and discharge
- Therapy may take up to 6 weeks for optimum relief
Pharmacology
- Inhibits release of chemical mediators from sensitized mast cells
- Modulates allergic response to prevent formation of toxic or inflammatory mediators
- Acts mainly through a local effect on the mucous of the eye
Dosage & Administration
- Usual dosage of 1 or 2 drops in each eye 4-6 times daily
- Recommended frequency should not be exceeded
- Therapeutic effects depend on regular administration

Contraindications
- Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to the drug or any of the ingredients
Side Effects
- Transient ocular stinging or burning upon drug instillation
Pregnancy & Lactation
- Caution advised during pregnancy
- Insufficient evidence to establish safety in pregnancy
- Use with caution in nursing women
Precautions & Warnings
- Contains benzalkonium chloride
- Patients advised not to wear soft contact lenses during treatment
