Indications
- Prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis
- Alleviating the complications of itching, pain, and tenderness associated with neurofibroma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergy such as hayfever and urticaria
Pharmacology
- Anti-allergic properties

Dosage & Administration
- Adult dosage: 1 mg twice daily with food, may be increased to 2 mg twice daily in severe cases
- Children above 3 years dosage: 1 mg twice daily with food
- Elderly dosage: Same as adult dose or as advised by the physician
Interaction
- Potentiate the effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohols
- Reversible fall in the platelet count
Contraindications
- Reversible fall in the platelet count
- Avoidance with oral antidiabetic agents
- Not recommended during pregnancy or when breastfeeding

Precautions & Warnings
- Continue previous treatment for a minimum of two weeks after starting Fenat
- Special consideration for systemic corticosteroids and ACTH
- Avoidance of alcoholic drinks
- Potentiate the effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohol
- Impaired reactions during the first day of treatment
- Precaution against operating vehicle or machinery
- Supplementation with specific antimicrobial therapy during intercurrent infection
