Description
- Indicated for prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis
- Alleviating the complications of itching, pain and tenderness associated with neurofibroma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergies such as hayfever and urticaria
- Possesses anti-allergic and antihistamine properties
- Exerts sustained inhibitory effect on histamine reactions
- Reduces asthma attacks in number, severity and duration
- Can reduce the need for corticosteroids and bronchodilators
- Dosage: 1 mg twice daily for adults, 1 mg twice daily for children above 3 years
- Interacts with sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines and alcohols
- Reversible fall in platelet count observed with some oral antidiabetic agents
- Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation
- May cause drowsiness, dry mouth, and slight dizziness
