Indications

Dosage & Administration

  • Adult dosage: 1 mg twice daily with food, may be increased to 2 mg in severe cases

  • Elderly dosage: Same as adult dose or as advised by the physician

Interaction

  • May potentiate the effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohol

Contraindications

  • Avoid concomitant use with oral antidiabetic agents
  • Avoid use in pregnancy and when breastfeeding

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation

Precautions & Warnings

  • Continue previous treatment for a minimum of two weeks after starting Kofen to avoid exacerbation of asthma

  • Reactions may impair driving or operating machinery
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks
