Indications
- Prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
- Symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis

Dosage & Administration
- Adults: 1 mg twice daily with food, may increase to 2 mg in severe cases
- Children (above 3 years): 1 mg twice daily with food, adjust for sedation risk
- Elderly: Same as adult dose or as advised by the physician
Interaction
- Potentiate effects of sedatives, hypnotics, antihistamines, and alcohols
- Reversible fall in platelet count observed with oral antidiabetic agents
Contraindications
- Avoid concomitant use with oral antidiabetic agents in some patients
- Use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding not recommended
