Contraindications
- History of hypersensitivity to salmeterol xinafoate, fluticasone propionate or any excipients
- Primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute episodes of asthma requiring intensive measures
Side Effects
- Tremor, palpitations, headache, cardiac arrhythmia, arthralgia, rash, oedema, angioedema, oropharyngeal irritation, muscle cramps, hoarseness, candidiasis, cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions, facial and oropharyngeal oedema

- Consideration of expected benefit to the mother vs possible risk to the fetus or child
Precautions & Warnings
- Not suitable for relief of acute symptoms
- Vigilance for pneumonia development in COPD patients
- Monitoring for possible systemic effects including Cushing's syndrome, growth retardation, decrease in bone mineral density
