Indications

  • Indicated in the regular treatment of asthma
  • Appropriate for patients not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids
  • Appropriate for patients already adequately controlled on both inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting β2-agonist

Pharmacology

  • Corticosteroid with mainly glucocorticoid activity
  • Salmeterol protects against symptoms

Interaction
